Students should never force an animal to participate in a session. Acupressure should not be performed on animals experiencing emergencies, severe illness, acute injury, uncontrolled pain, unexplained lameness, fever, infection, sudden neurological signs, severe behavioural distress, or any condition requiring veterinary care unless the student is working under appropriate veterinary direction.
